I believe that the War of Afghanistan will be another Vietnam. They were both very long, were pointless, and were both fought overseas. 

  There are also a lot of casualties in both of the wars and there are going to be more casualties in the Afghanistan War, because it will probably not end for a while. It is also likely that it will be as long as the Vietnam or longer than it. Both wars are also fought on different terrain than what the U.S. troops are used to, which gave our opponent an advantage. Nay innocent civilians were also killed in both wars. The Afghanistan War is also ongoing. I also believe that we might lose the Afghanistan War like we lost the Vietnam. 

 These are only a few reasons why I believe that the War of Afghanistan is turning into a Vietnam.
