To me i think that the Afghanistan war is not another Vietnam war. We acutely have a purpose in Afghanistan

At the beginning Vietnam war the Vietnamese attacked a us ship (a.k.a. the tonkin gulf incident) giving us a weak accuse to attack first we bombed them but the bombs didn't just kill soldiers the bombs killed innocent civilians too, secondly the Vietnam war has over 58,000 us casualties. In the Afghanistan war the starting event was 9/11 giving us a perfect reason to attack.  In the Afghanistan war there were +848 us casualties .

To recap in my opinion the Afghanistan war will not be another Vietnam because there was a purpose in Afghanistan.
